2019
From 2017 to 2019 I traveled to Greece in particular to work with refugee populations coming from the Middle East, Asia and Africa. I started out without any real idea of what the situation was, other than --- it was bad. It is worse today than it was a few years ago. People continue to leave their war-torn, economically blighted homelands in search of a new future. When they arrive on European shores they often find they are maligned and unwanted. It's very difficult (and almost incomprehensibly so) how one maintains the courage to make a fresh start when beyond the physical difficulties of moving across borders, landscapes, and cultures you are now thwarted at every turn.
I have always been somewhat of a nomad --- at times it was freeing and other times, painful. So, I thought I might have some understanding, but I came to see that this was far from true. There is so much for us to learn from our fellow travelers.
I asked myself if I shouldn't be trying to do something near the US - Mexico border but it's so wrapped up that my understanding is that it's almost impossible to be of service.
My project, Remote Viewing includes some of my experiences with the remarkable and courageous people that I have met along the way.
If you are looking for a way to participate, you can offer to volunteer or make donations to several organizations but this is who I encourage you to give to.
